Tearing Apart A Twi-Hard

1- the writing is better

Eeehm on what grounds? I admit I've only read the first twilight book, but I had to stop after that it was just so tediously dull. BUT i have seen all the twilight films, nearly threw up at the last one the script was so bad... And apparently they keep very close to the book so go figure.

2- the actors/actresses who film the movie are talented

Please. Kirstin Stwert spends the whole time with her mouth open, if Taylor didn't have such a good bod would you still love him? And come on, Robert Pattinson was and forever will be CEDRIC DIGGORY!

3- bella is a role model (she teaches people to hold on to their friendships and stuff and keep their secrets)

No she doesn't... Who in their life will face a situation with a vampire that they can relate back to twilight for advice? Harry Potter offers so much more in terms of friendship advice... Just look at the trio's friendship and how it lasted through thick and thin. As for secrets ... Severus Snape had the best kept secret of all.

4-it has a PLOT!!

Big woop. Most stories do... Just a shame Twilight happens to be one so ridden with holes.

5-the scenes in the movies are exciting

Yeah, i got so excited when bella was sitting on a couch for half the film whilst Harry was busy breaking into Gringots and setting loose a dragon in the space of 10 mins...

6- the effects are amazing

What? Transforming werewolves and sparking bits? Oh look im edward and i can run supah fast. Have you never heard of quidditch, mountain trolls, 3 headed dogs, hippogriffs, epic wand duels, basalisks, dementors, flying Ford anglias and noesless Voldermort?

7-a story about a vampire, werewolf, and mortal beats a swinging wand boy and his enemy the beast

For one thing Harry Potter has all three of them and a world beyond them that is so much more. JKR build a whole new world for Harry Potter, a new culture, language, race, government, history and more... Whereas twilight is taking some mythological creatures out of context and plonking them in America.

8- the actors and actresses are attached to their character and love them

From what i've heard they don't. RPATZ himself admitted he prefered playing Cedric to edward.
And did you hear about the commitment some of the Harry Potter actors/actresses went through to find their characters? Hermione and Bellatrix and the torture scene for one...

9-the characters are not all good or all evil

Are you deaf and blind? The whole POINT of the characters in Harry Potter is that none of them are completely flawless. They all have their own misgivings and thats true to life. Whereas Edward is seen as this perfect macho man figure... Puurrrleeaassse.

10-the evil people are villians for a reason like the newborn army in eclipse who almost killed the whole city of seattle or the volturi (they are not evil evil they have some good in them)

What reason would that be then?

11-the characters in twilight are nice and have a great personality and they are hot and cool too (they are lovable for that)

I hate that word "nice". And Dobby isn't lovable I suppose? Fair enough he's not "hot". But siriusly... have you SEEN Tom Felton, Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe, BAMF Matthew Lewis and Alan Rickman? (who is strangely attractive for a middle aged man)

12-the cover of the books are drawn beautifully

Well, that's a pretty shallow excuse if you ask me. But then again you appear to be the sort of person who would judge a book by it's cover.

13-the posters of the movie looks verrrry cool

See above.

14- creative and great ideas of the vampire form

Prft. None of her ideas were her own. See above comment about worlds being created.

15- you can make your own stories out of the chapters of twilight
(you can make stories out of harry potter too but twilight turns out better than harry potter)

Have you seen harrypotterfanfiction.com???? fictionalley.net, sugarquill.net and many MANY more.

16- the phrase twi-hard is cool

No, a twi-hard is something uncomfortable in your trousers you fangirls get every time edward's sparkly face pops up on screen.

17-the mashup name renesmee is so creative

JKR sourced all of her names specifically from their meanings to relate to each individual character. SM just took two names and mashed them together.

18- Meyer made the werewolves and vampire unite even though they are enemies to each other

The whole of Harry Potter is about uniting together to defeat the common goal. Harry Potter IS unity.

19-the book is an international bestseller and an award winning book too (chosen by book critiques)

Someone was on crack or being slipped some money to say a nice word then wern't they... Harry Potters been translated into countless languages and will be a literally masterpiece that will withstand the test of time.

20-there are lessons you can learn from twilight (the thing u can learn from harry potter is how to do a spell on your friend so he can help u)

YES! If ever I am confronted with a hot vampire whom i fall desperately in love with whilst my werewolf friend watches whistfully on, I'll know EXACTLY what to do. THANKYOU SO MUCH YOU'VE HELPED ME NO END! You've obviously read and fully understand the plot of Harry Potter. And I think you're referring to the Imperius curse, which I believe is not the only thing they learnt at Hogwarts.

21-the emotions are deep in twilight and is a wide imaginative world (unlike wand boy)

Severus Snape. NEED I SAY MORE? also see above about the world thing AGAIN.
Wand boy? Least he doesn't have a problem with ODing on glitter.

22- she replaces small simple words to long big words for people to be more educated not use simple words everyone can understand

It's not about the complexity of words used... sometimes the more complex the words are the more they're trying to cover up bad writing. Harry Potter is written in a way that people of all ages can understand and take what they want from it. It's build on many levels whereas Twilight purely is written for rabid, horny teenage girls. And if you think it's educating well, I frankly despair.

23-twilight has a theme of a mystical and imaginative world

... And harry potter doesn't?

24- twilight is read by a massive audience

... Consisting of lovesick, weedy teenage girls.

25-the fight scenes are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing and you feel the fight by someway

Dumbledore and Voldermort's duel in OoTP. THAT was a fight.

26-the twilight quotes are really nice written and you feel the creativity in them

"It does not do to dwell on your dreams and forget to live" - Dumbledore
"The idea of Twilight came to me in a dream" - Stephanie Meyer

Point proved.

27-Meyer left clues for you to know the identity of each and every character

JKR created backstories for every single character, even if they were not used in the books, her characters lived inside her and were so complex that we will probably never fully understand them as she does.

:) Suck on that Twi-Hard.

Man that felt good :D

I don't go picking fights for the fun of it by the way, this was purely out of boredom, random interweb browsing and just after watching breaking dawn part 1 (a pirated copy I may add... not paying to see that) Was laughing pretty much all the way through. They don't need to make a parody of it, It's already a fully functioning pardoy of itself.

So in the words of Minevra:

BOOM.
